Who are the team behind PropertyIndex.com?

Backed by a multi-million pound investment fund, PropertyIndex.com is a totally independent company - we are not an estate agency nor are we owned by another property company - focused on becoming the most cost effective property portal on the web. Our team have experience and success behind them having built one of the UK market leading websites ahead of a £30m buy out in January 2007.

Hundreds overseas agents and developers, along with hundreds of holiday rental owners and thousands of UK Sales and lettings agents have joined PropertyIndex.com since launch in September 2007, so that the site now features over 150,000 properties for sale and rent across 4,000 destinations.

How do you drive traffic to your site?

We are backed by a multi-million pound marketing investment to drive traffic to our website. This marketing budget is deployed primarily in search engine optimisation and pay per click marketing campaigns to drive traffic from all the major internet search engines, such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

As a privately owned company we have the freedom and independence to reinvest the revenue and profit we achieve into marketing activity to continually grow the number of leads we can generate for our client base.

Who is your target audience?

We actively target UK consumers interested in buying, selling and renting property throughout the UK.

Do you provide campaign statistics?

We provide all of our clients with a comprehensive summary of how many views their listings have achieved over a specific timeframe, together with their conversion rate to enquiries. As we only charge for results, clients do not have to worry about wastage in their marketing spends.

How can I stand out from the competition?

Setting up your listings

How do I upload my properties?

PropertyIndex.com can accept a wide range of property feeds, including the feed you currently send to your monthly subscription portals. We have also established partnerships with over 50 estate agent software partners in order to ensure that the process is as hassle free and as accurate as possible. If you currently upload manually (i.e. you do not currently have a data feed) we can set one up for you using our bespoke bulk upload software tool.

Alternatively, we will create an account for you and send through your login and password so that you can upload your property information quickly and easily.

Is there a limit to the number of properties I can upload?

No - there are no limits! You can advertise as many properties for sale and/or rent as you like on a cost per lead basis.

Is there a limit to the number of photographs I can upload?

You can upload as many as 20 images per property. Online brochures, floor plans, virtual tours, HIPs and EPC reports can also be displayed.

Your leads/enquiries

How do I know when I receive an enquiry/where do my enquiries go?

All of your enquiries go directly to the email address you register on your account details, and should you accidentally delete any of the emails, you can simply visit our website and login to view all your enquiries in your personal account area.

When I advertise on a ‘cost per lead’ basis, what exactly does that mean?

It means you only pay us when you get an enquiry! Not just any enquiry though, but high quality enquiries which will be of value to you; otherwise known as ‘qualified leads’.

What is a ‘qualified’ lead?

A ‘qualified’ lead is an enquiry which includes a full name, contact telephone number and email address.

What happens if the lead is non-contactable?

We are completely committed to providing you with a high quality service, which is why we won’t charge you for any enquirers who are legitimately non-contactable. Simply click the ‘dispute’ link on the enquiry.

How do I pay for the leads?

Every lead is billed to your account in real time for the appropriate amount. You can clear your debit balances via credit card, BACS or cheque payment.

‘No lead, no fee’ sounds too good to be true! So what’s the catch?

There’s no catch. If we don’t generate any leads for you; you don’t pay us - it’s as simple as that! We just don’t believe that hitting you with enormous subscription fees before you’ve even had chance to see any results is the best way to win you over!

What if I don’t receive any leads?

Obviously, as per your cost per lead agreement, you don’t pay us anything until we generate leads for you. Don’t forget though, we offer a wide range of premium advertising positions to help you ensure you reach your target audience.
