One of the UK's biggest house-builders has found that property buyers are taking advantage of low interest rates and purchasing "the best properties in the most sought after locations" through buying off-plan.
Bryant Homes have noticed the trend and is currently offering anyone searching for property in the seaside resort town of Littlehampton in West Sussex the chance to snap up a Kingfisher home off-plan at the company's Elysian Fields development.
"We have noticed that purchasers are making the most of the current low interest rates and choosing to snap up the best properties in the most sought after locations by buying off plan," explained regional sales and marketing director, Pauline Fletcher.
"We have a fantastic selection of homes at Elysian Fields, so buyers reserving early will get the pick of the plots and will also have the maximum choice for their property in terms of style, design and location.
"They may even find that once complete their property has risen in value, which is often the case when buying off plan. When you add up all of these benefits, buying off plan becomes an attractive proposition."
The company has compiled a guide to help buyers get more for their money:
- Conduct thorough research by visiting the development as well as the local planning office to ensure you can identify which plots are in the best locations.
- For sun worshippers a south-facing home will get the most sunlight so ask the sales executives about the aspects
- Visit a show home to get some idea of the layout of your future home and the fittings and finish you can choose.
- Bear in mind that although you'll pay more if you'd like to upgrade your home's appliances, fixtures and fittings, they will still be cheaper than high street prices and worth paying to get your ideal home.
- Bryant Homes' properties come with a 10-year warranty from the NHBC which covers putting right any defects caused by materials or workmanship for two years and then a further eight years against major structural damage to your property.
