Bryant Homes' development bucks housing market trend
The Twin Sails Bridge wasn't the only Poole project to be given a boost at the end of 2008 – Bryant Homes' Harbour Reach development in Hamworthy also ended the year on a high holding its own in the current challenging property market.
The housebuilder began work on the Shapwick Road development, which is one of the first residential schemes to be built as part of Poole's Full Sail Ahead regeneration programme, in November 2005. Since its launch in April 2006 Harbour Reach has experienced nearly 200 sales and nearly three years continues to experience high levels of interest.
Pauline Fletcher, regional sales and marketing director, comments: "We're delighted to hear that plans for the £40 million Twin Sails Bridge have taken a major step forward and we're looking forward to seeing work begin.
"Hamworthy is fast becoming one of the top property hotspots in the area. The area is drawing in high numbers of visitors both locally and from further afield thanks to the regeneration, which is changing the face of Poole's urban landscape. We have every confidence that the housing market in the region is set to grow significantly over the next few years.
"Interest in the development to date has been overwhelming and we're delighted to see a large number of the homes being reserved by owner occupiers from the local area. A part of the local regeneration scheme, it's fitting the people of Poole should be the first to take advantage."
An increasingly exciting and vibrant place to live, many projects have already been completed as part of the regeneration. These include the £4.5million refurbishment of the Dolphin shopping centre, the successful opening of the new ASDA superstore and the award-winning Canford Park Arena combining sporting, country park and event facilities on the outskirts of the area.
Residents at Harbour Reach can enjoy stunning panoramic views over Poole Harbour, Arne Nature Reserve and the Isle of Purbeck, including an aspect of Corfe Castle. Further views extend to Brownsea Island and the Sandbanks Peninsula. With Poole being earmarked as the next property hotspot on the South Coast there could not be a better time to become a part of this exciting community.
