First-time buyers offered advice from industry professionals
A financial advisor is organising an event which will bring together first-time buyers, estate agents, solicitors, developers and politicians, in order to give those who want to get onto the property ladder, an opportunity to receive advice from industry professionals.
Steve Jones came up with the idea to hold the event, which will be held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Conwy, with the hope that more first-time buyers will boost the property market as a whole.
"The original thought was that first-time buyers didn't have the right information, in terms of mortgages available and assistance from the assembly government on shared ownership," said Mr. Jones.
He went on to say that, while securing a mortgage is not simple, there are ways to obtain one, such as through lenders who have schemes which enable aspiring homeowners to purchase from builders, without putting down a deposit.
Ahead of the main event, there will be a networking session which will give property professionals the chance to meet David Jones, the MP for Clwyd West and Shadow Minister for Wales, and the local AM Gareth Jones.
A total of 25 exhibitors will be taking part in the event which will also involve a number of seminars covering topics such as how to find a property, affordability, self-build and refurbishment.
