House-builder helps West Midlands' couple cement their future
Just a few months after securing their dream home in Stourbridge, West Midlands' couple Paul Malthouse and Becky Willmott have decided to get engaged, making them the first couple at The Spires development to do so.
When they heard about Paul's plans to whisk Becky away for the weekend to pop the question, Bryant Homes, the house-builder behind The Spires development, was only too pleased to help make the proposal extra special with a stay at the luxury Hotel du Vin.
"Obviously buying a home together is a big expense so it was really difficult to find extra cash for an engagement ring and even more of challenge to fund a romantic weekend. You only propose once so I really wanted to sweep Becky off her feet and ask her to marry me somewhere special," explained Paul.
"When the team heard about my plans they kindly offered to pay for the hotel in celebration of us being the first couple to get engaged at The Spires. We had a wonderful weekend and Becky was absolutely thrilled when I finally got down on one knee – she couldn't stop smiling."
Becky added: "It was really generous of Bryant Homes to help Paul and he certainly succeeded in sweeping me off my feet! We had such a lovely weekend together and the hotel was wonderful – a real treat! I can't stop gazing at my beautiful engagement ring and we've already discussed a date for our wedding."
Anne Wallace, Bryant Homes' regional sales and marketing director, said: "We were delighted to be able to help make Paul's proposal to Becky so special and we would like to wish them every happiness for their future together."
The Spires, located on Church Avenue, offers two, three and four bedroom homes within walking distance of Stourbridge town centre where there is a wide range of shops as well as a selection of restaurants and bars. The canal is within easy reach for walks or bike rides, while the Merry Hill shopping centre is just a few miles away.
Stourbridge Junction station offers regular train services into Birmingham, Worcester and further afield, while the M5 (Junctions 3 & 4) is no more than 12 miles away, and Birmingham International Airport is less than 20 miles away. Prices start at £129,995 for a two bedroom home.
