The US housing market continues to spark investor interest
"According to a report in the Wall Street Journal on 06 May 2008, it is likely that April 2008 will mark the bottom of the US housing market," explains Justin Murray, Consultant with TSQ Investments Limited - a marketing and distribution company for financial products linked to personal and professional investment vehicles.

"This news that the housing market is bottoming out right now will be of real interest to investors because of the opportunities available in catching the bottom of the property market as presented by one of our key clients - Ascent Fund Managers Limited."
Ascent Fund Managers Limited is an independent property fund management company, incorporated in Guernsey and licensed by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. The company's first two investment funds are Ascent 06 and Ascent 07 Florida, both of which are Guernsey Exempt Property Unit Trusts.
"The one issue potential investors have had when it comes to US investment funds is timing, but of course this is and has been the key to good investment since the beginning of time. Naturally, investors want to catch the US market at the bottom and take advantage of the rise," says Mr. Murray.
"The article in the Wall Street Journal certainly seems to indicate a strong move towards the end of the US housing crisis. However, the report is quick to point out that a bottom does not mean that prices are about to return to the heady days of 2005 but that it just means the trend is no longer getting worse, which is the key point."
TSQ Investments has now set up a system for investors to indicate a gradual investment from cash on deposit in the Ascent 07 Florida Fund over a period of the next 12 months.
"This strategy means we can be the closest we can possibly be to getting the timing right. For example, if an individual invests £100,000 into the Ascent 07 Florida Fund, he/she can opt for the Gradual Purchase Plan. £25,000 is then invested into the fund at the end of Q2, Q3, Q4 in 2008 and Q1 in 2009," explains Mr. Murray.
"If at any time we feel the rise in the market would suggest a full investment, we will notify the client, the administrator and the investment adviser to invest the full amount immediately. Equally, the client can opt for complete investment at any time. We believe that provided a client wants property and is convinced the USA and Florida is the place, the time is now."
The team at TSQ Investments believe that at the current time there exists an ideal environment in which to acquire bargain property assets on the West Coast of Florida.
"Historically, Florida has lead recovery nationally from property downturns. Population growth prospects are good, as is employment potential. These factors are reinforced by the strong purchasing power which exists in the UK, thanks to the strength of the pound sterling against the weak dollar," says Mr. Murray.
"The beauty of the Ascent 07 Florida Fund is the fact that it has been designed with great care and planning to identify and control risks. On a risk adjusted basis, the fund offers returns which are much higher than would be expected of property funds in general."
TSQ Investments naturally have great faith in the team advising the Ascent 07 Florida Fund.
"The investment adviser is supported by a very strong team with over 100 years experience at senior levels in the key areas of property investment and development, corporate finance, sales and marketing, taxation, compliance and accounting," explains Mr. Murray.
"The team has carried out a very significant amount of work in identifying the right structure which will be most effective for delivering the returns and for creating a very tax efficient structure to minimise tax dilution. The team is very experienced in identifying risks and strategies to minimise their impact. Fund investment decisions bring this experience fully into play."
