Expert Predicts New Flights to Cape Verde will Boost the Property Market
TACV Cabo Verde Airlines recently announced new direct flights from London Stansted to Cape Verde which will operate twice a week.
"The new flights certainly reflect the demand for increased accessibility," explains Steven Oldfield, managing director of CVP Real Estate, a leading real estate agent for the Cape Verde Islands. "The Cape Verde property market really is thriving at the moment, with the islands attracting tourists, property investors and home buyers in their droves."
After a series of successful personal investments in overseas property including Cape Verde, and almost twenty years banking experience in different countries around the world, Mr. Oldfield started Cape Verde Portal (the parent company of CVP Real Estate) in 2004, aimed at providing a single gateway to investment on the islands.
"CVP Real Estate's focus on Cape Verde means we can offer the widest range of quality properties on the islands and the best local knowledge," says Mr. Oldfield. "We decided to focus on the islands because, not only is Cape Verde a stunning destination, but we strongly believe that through our expertise in the market, we can offer clients access to a fantastic array of lucrative investment opportunities."
Situated off Africa's west coast, the archipelago is drawing people to its pristine beaches and year-round sunshine. With the flight time from the UK being just five hours, and with no hurricane season, this property hotspot is proving a hit with investors.
"We've noticed that our property sales and holiday rentals have been on the up for quite some time now," explains Mr. Oldfield. "Anyone thinking of buying property in Cape Verde should do so now while property prices are still relatively low, that way they'll put themselves in good stead for maximum return on investment in the future."
Arguably, the wet British summer has further fuelled Cape Verde's burgeoning appeal, with people choosing to visit the islands for a late getaway.
"We've found that people are currently heading to Cape Verde in the same way as they would do the Canaries at this time of year. This could be attributed to the record amount of rainfall we've experienced in the UK this summer, or it could simply be because people are becoming more aware of everything Cape Verde has to offer," says Mr. Oldfield.
"The islands are very much an up-and-coming destination and the extra flights will mean the islands become more accessible, giving consumers more choice when deciding where to go on holiday, regardless of the time of year. Of course it also means that Cape Verde is increasingly becoming a viable option for many property investors."
CVP Real Estate takes a long-term view of the Cape Verde real estate market and works hard to invest in long-term relationships, combining innovation and entrepreneurial spirit to maximise the returns on clients' investments.
"Purchasing or selling property or land overseas is a major financial decision which requires professional guidance throughout every step of the process," explains Mr. Oldfield. "That's why we provide a service which is headed up by a team experienced in all aspects of overseas property and investment, providing clients with confidence as they enter this exciting market."
In addition to offering professional guidance and advice on the Cape Verde property market, CVP Real Estate also provides free, tailor-made inspection trips to enable clients to undertake property viewings in the presence of a property expert and legal and mortgage advisors.
"Like our parent company, Cape Verde Portal, we are synonymous with quality and expertise and we always ensure that we have the answers our clients need. We have achieved success by offering a high quality service backed up by expertise in the market in which we operate," adds Mr. Oldfield.
CVP Real Estate is part of the Cape Verde Portal group of companies. Established in 2004, the business has grown to be a leading local real estate agent for the Cape Verde Islands.
