"I bought this house as at the time the location fitted in with my niece attending Rykneld School and she was able to come round after school to await her parents collecting her. It also suited my mother as she was able to get out to go to church, the village hall and post office on her own. It also had space downstairs (the dining room) which we could use as a bedroom as she became more disabled with age. As for me, it had access to Branston Water Park so I could walk the dogs and a garden that small but adequate. The main benefit of living here is the way we get maximum sun. In winter when the sun is low it is in the sitting room keeping it warm most of the day. In summer the sun is higher and although it is on the front of the house most of the day it does not make the room too warm. We also have a really nice outlook. As a dog walker I can set out on foot in a number of directions, both ways along the river, to Tatenhill via the water park. Not many people can do that these days, so easy access to countryside walks is a good plus. Also local shops, takeaways and two pubs are near but not so near to be a liability."
