Introduction

Granville House is a rare opportunity to purchase not only a large village home, but a property steeped in history and character located in the heart of this popular village. The property has been comprehensively refurbished over recent years to provide a fine family home. Dating back to Tudor/Georgian times the property has been extended and the updating process has been done to a meticulous standard throughout and shows much of the properties original character but with a contemporary, boutique twist.
Vendor Comment

Our home has such a lovely relaxing, calm, homely, family feel about it; the children love playing hide and seek and in a house this size it takes hours to play!! Many of our friends say it's a very quirky house with an elegant feel. When you are in the house you don't feel like you live on a main street at all. Whilst living here we feel that we have been totally spoilt in this house, its like living in a 4 star hotel with all the warm and homely comforts. Entertaining for family and friends is fantastic here, a great kitchen for entertaining in, a large cool cellar to keep your food in, coal fires, lots of bedrooms and 7 toilets!!! Tutbury is a lovely village to be part and being in the centre of it is great, there is a real community feel, even listening to the church bells is nice. You can even see the church and the castle. My daughter likes living in Tutbury as we are so near to amenities, especially the sweet shop! She loves the greenhouse for growing tomatoes and pumpkins and she has helped pick and make preserves from the garden produce. My son adores living here as he is able to have his own playroom and lots of space and he especially enjoy's the big bath. My husband likes how all the rooms in the house have different purposes, he loves using the gym, relaxing in the TV room or sitting quietly with a book by the coal fire in the lounge. He especially enjoy,s his barbecues and its great here as there is so much space for all the children to play whilst the adults sip Pimms on the terrace. We have had many games of cricket but someone always has to hit so hard it goes over the walled garden. Due to our jobs we have to move and I hope that a loving person will take this house on and experience the joy of living here like us; it will be a sad day for us but a happy day for someone else to enjoy.
