Pezenas is a small and pretty medieval town of the Herault department in Languedoc-Roussillon, southern France. Once home to 17th century playwright Moliere, the theatre tradition and artisans carry on living with year-round performances, workshops and late-night craft markets. Beaches are 20 minutes away, Beziers: 30 minutes, Carcassonne 80 minutes, Perpignan, 75 minutes, Montpellier, 45 minutes.
By train: The nearest main line station is Agde. The fast and efficient TGV train service from Paris stops in Montpellier. Alternatively, Motorail has a train service going from Calais to Narbonne.
By air: The nearest international airport is Beziers Cap d'Agde Airport. Since 2008, international services to the UK and Denmark have been established.
