As of 2007 San Sostene had an estimated population of 1,130. San Sostene is 5 mins from Soverato, 15 minutes away from the town of Catanzaro, and just 35 minutes drive from Lamezia airport which offers direct and indirect inexpensive flights from London. A new motorway is currently being built that will cut this journey time to just 20 minutes.
