This lovely property is located only 3 km from the seaside town of Balchik and 50 km from the International Varna Airport. Three out of five new Golf courses in Bulgaria are between 2 and 10 km from the village. In recent years, the area became popular destination for UK and Scandinavian tourists looking to enjoy beautiful nature, long sandy beaches, historical landmarks, favorable climate, variable sports (diving, yachting, golf, etc.) and last but not least – low cost flights and holidays. Balchik is one of the 100 National Tourist Sites, famous with its Botanical garden and The Castle architecture park complex, which has been residence of the Romanian Queen Maria in the beginning of 20 century. The town of Balchik is a centre of many cultural events – a lot of music, film and other festivals are held there annually. There is yacht harbor, which can anchor 60 yachts. The yacht tourism is well developed and offers different voyages along the Northern Black sea.

The house was solidly built in the early 60’s and offers an entrance hall (1.30 x 1.70 m), which leads to two transitional rooms on one side (3.60 x 3.30 m; 3.60 x 3.60 m) and a third room (3.60 x 3.60 m) on another. The height of all rooms is 2.10 m; the floors are wooden. At the rear side of the house there is a summer kitchen which has a small entrance hall (1.30 x 1.30 m), kitchen (3.35 x 3.35 m) and another room (2.60 x 3.40 m), currently used as storage. The height of the rooms in the so called summer kitchen is 1.75 m. A sheltered area connects the summer kitchen to a brick built outbuilding (approx. 12 sq. m.), behind which there is a second outbuilding (5.40 x 2.50 m) and a dry storage for wood.

The garden size is 1250 sq. m. with several fruit-trees and enough space for adding a swimming pool. The property is surrounded by fence and it is accessible via tarmac road in all seasons. The village’s centre and the bus stop are on walking distance from the house. Electricity and water are connected to mains; Internet and digital television could be also connected. The villages has regular bus transport to Balchik and the surrounding villages; there are food shops, local pubs, post office, park and a forest nearby.

The Municipality

Balchik municipality is located in North-East Bulgaria in Dobrich District. It is a Black Sea municipality, a resort centre and a popular tourist destination. There are 2 ports in the Municipality - Cargo berth and Yacht marine.
Tourism in the Municipality is developed mainly by Albena AD resort complex, as well as by numerous private companies and rest homes in Balchik city and Kranevo village. There are approximately 22,000 beds available for accommodation in private homes, summer houses, rest homes and resort complexes of Balchik municipality. Albena resort complex is one of the most beautiful resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The Touzlata sanatorium resort complex with the curative mud and salt-water lake is another potential site for investments.

The District

Dobrich Region is located in the easternmost part of the hilly Danubian Plain and Dobrudzha. It borders the regions of Varna, Shumen and Silistra. The boundaries with the Black Sea, the Danube River and Romania coincide with the national borders. The relief consists of lowlands and hilly plateaus. Low plateaus of up to 150–200 m high are very typical of this region. The area is arid, one of the driest in the country, with few rainfalls in but yet very fertile. It is called the ‘Granary of Bulgaria’. Typical of the agriculture in the region is wheat, fodder and technical crops. There is an oil and gas field near Shabla. The region lies remote from major international transport corridors that pass through the country.

The territory of the region is a unique mosaic of natural and archaeological sites of interest. It is also where one of the two major birth migration routes passes – the so-called “Via Pontika”. Near the lakes of Shabla and Durankulak there are law-protected damp areas of international importance. These territories are the most significant winter quarters in Europe for many water birds. Kaliakra Reserve is the only one in Bulgaria, which extends over sea area. The furthest northern riparian dense forest at the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria is located in Baltata. The Lake of Shabla is one of the biggest habitats of water lily and yellow pond-lily (Nuphar lutea) in Bulgaria.

Preserved remnants of ancient Greek colonies and Thracian cultural centers, medieval citadels and ethnographic landmarks are all places of cultural interest. The development of the region was affected by the First National Catastrophe in 1913 (a historical and political term referring to the defeat of Bulgaria in the Second Balkan War) when the territory of Southern Dobrudzha was annexed to Romania. The former summer villas of the Romanian royal family are situated in a beautiful park in Balchik, and dates back from that period. There is an interesting ethnic group with distinctive customs and costumes living in Dobrudzha villages. These are the Gagauz – Bulgarian Christians who speak Gagauz, a language of the Turkic group. They are considered to be of proto-Bulgarian or Kuman origin.

The seaside holiday tourism is concentrated mainly in Albena and Rusalka holiday resorts, the towns of Balchik and Kavarna, the village of Kranevo and the camping sites near Shabla. Dobrich Region offers suitable conditions for hunting tourism (four game preserves are located on the territory of the region), business and conference tourism (in Albena and Rusalka), and fang therapy (in the resorts of Shablenska Tuzla and Balchishka Tuzla).
