La Duquesa Golf Course is within walking distance and is attached to a 4 star hotel and golf range. A further 500m down the coast is Sabinillas which has more of a mixed population and much more of a Spanish ´feel´. Many more beach side restaurants and bars are to be found here as are most of the sizeable local shops, schools, businesses and a few supermarkets. Very close by to the apartment is Castillo De la Duquesa which is smaller and more low key with quiet beaches, Chiringuitos and the backdrop of its historic Castle. The larger town of Estepona is 12k towards Marbella and has extensive shopping and night life, yet it has retained small beach areas and beachside restaurants. Marbella and Puerto Banus are approximately 20k from the Apartment. Marbella is a larger city offering shopping and nightlife with Puerto Banus famous for its port, nightlife and visual extravagance. Towards the West is Sotogrande with its extensive beaches and ´chic´ set up and Gibraltar itself offering access to UK shops and facilities as well as the chance to climb the famous rock and see the local attractions.
