THE MASIA

(where grain was once threshed by burro or mule) On the exterior wall and to the right of the front door is the House Name & Compass Plaque designed and handmade by the Artist home owner.
ENTRANCE HALLWAY
To the Left through a deep doorway lies the dining room and lounge ??? 6 x 4 m. The ???Old Casita??? is part of the original Masia. The walls are traditional local rustic stone and rendering, incorporating small and discreet Iberian styled hand crafted cave paintings by the Artist. 4 windows, a woodstove, 2 light fittings and 2 power points.
KITCHEN
To the Right of the Entrance Hallway is the kitchen ??? 3 x 3.30 m. An open plan kitchen with units and work top, double sink & drainer, 2 windows and a stable door facing east, 3 light fittings, 2 power points and a ceiling fan.

EXTERIOR
The gardens and stone work have been created and built by the present owners. The front and east gardens comprise of ornamental trees and shrubs, flowering plants and succulents with rescued indigenous wild orchids.
The house is Off-grid and powered by Solar Panels, a Wind Turbine and backed up by a generator. The property receives water from Giametes Reservoir.
The outbuildings contain a storage unit and a generator house incorporating a small Work Shop ??? 3.5 x 4.5 m approx.
The land measures 10 Acres (4 Hectares) and consists of a bank of north facing terraces (where the Masia stands), sloping down to a large flat area, and then a bank of south facing terraces ??? all of which are cultivated with almond & olive trees, plus 3 walnut and 2 apricot trees. At the base of the south terraces is a cave (with a carved stone seat and a fire place) which has been used in the past as a shelter from the weather and from the Civil War bombing.
