    LARNACA

    Larnaca Marina is one of the crossroads of the circumnavigator, a gateway to the East or West depending on which way round you are going. It is a wintering hole for all nationalities living aboard in the Med. A boatyard for repairs major or minor. You name it Larnaca marina has it.

    There are activities for all. Regular barbecues, boat jumbles, classes for keep fit, bridge and even line dancing. As the residents organise most of these events they can change as the population does and new skills are always welcome.

    The Finikoudhes - palm tree lined promoenade is the best place for a walk in the early evenings. This is also the main beach area of Larnaca and directly opposite are the towns most popular venues - bars, cafes and a few restaurants. This is where the locals go on the weekends to have their coffee and cake.

    The Fort and Marina - located on both opposite ends of the promenade and are worth visiting.

    Finikoudhes Beach - A long strip of beach off the town center (along the Palm Promenade) with dark sand and shallow waters. There are plenty of public conveniences. This beach is popular and ideal for families.
