Villa San Marco, a short walk up a fabulous almost hidden stairway cut in the rock is just 60m from the sea. From its 2 terraces a guest can enjoy uninterrupted views of the dramatic Biokovo Mountains, Brac, Hvar and the 'crystal' clear waters of the Adriatic. A grill on the upper terrace makes for great al fresco dining. The house is a little eclectic comprising 2 parts - one part on 2 levels with 2 double bedrooms and shower room, the other part on 2 levels with living/dining room, a second shower room and extra upper living room with 2 comfortable sofabeds that can be also used as a twin room or extra double room. A kitchen on the lower level connects the 2 parts. This house is ideal for all types: families, groups or couples. It's traditional character, exposed original interior stone walls and location on the edge of the cliff will make for a most memorable holiday.
Pisak
is a picture postcard little fishing village, set back in time, that comes alive in the high season but is a quiet retreat off season and with wonderful traditional restaurants. Set in a countryside of contrasts, the craggy mountains behind giving the adventure holiday seeker opportunities to para glide and rock climb. Or for keen walkers to trek the mountain Biokovo with its ancient villages along the path. The pine forest in the lower reaches then gives way to olive and citrus groves around the village. You can visit Brela on the Makarska Riveria, also known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. Makarska is well known for its night life including traditional Dalmatian food and music nights. Just close by in Omis is the Cetina river which offers rafting. Omis is a picturesque historic town which dates back to the Roman period and is well worth a visit. Day trips to Split, Mostar and Dubrovnik are recommended for the holidaymaker interested in seeing the sites of Dalmatia and beyond.
