Paphos is situated on the south-west coast of the island. It is an area rich in history. In fact it is well-known as the island of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.Paphos is also the home of marvelous archaeological treasures and due to its antiquities, beautiful churches and monasteries, UNESCO has included the whole town in its World Cultural Heritage Sites list.

Inland, it is an easy drive up to the cool fir-covered Troodos Mountains, were forgotten villages still exist in the traditional ways. And yet still further is the rugged Akamas peninsula with its un-spoilt surroundings and the Turtle Nesting Reserve.
