EMBA (meaning 'Enter' in the Cypriot Dialect) is a picturesque Greek village in the district of Paphos close to blue flag beaches, excellent golf courses, traditional tavernas and modern supermarkets as well as the international school of Paphos . It is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty.
Enhancing the village square is a 12th century church Panayia Chryseleoussa (the Virgin Mary, The Mother of Christ). It is built in Byzantine style and its interior walls are decorated with frescoes, some of which are of outstanding historical and religious interest. There are also many small chapels scattered around the rest of the village.
