The Location:
Narbonne, called the Crossroads of Southern Europe, is a traditional town of the Aude department. It used to be a hive of activity and a significant port but it is now located 10 minutes away from the Mediterranean Sea. Narbonne is linked to the nearby Canal du Midi and the Aude River by the Canal de la Robine, which runs through the centre of town, along with plenty of narrow streets, ancient buildings, squares, restaurants, shops and other amenities. Every morning there is an award winning covered market Les Halles with fresh local products including sea food, cheeses, charcuterie and locally produced wines. Between the places of interest not to be missed are: Horreum, Archbishops’ Palace and St Just and St Pasteur Cathedral.
