House in Piazze, Italy
Features
A portion of a traditional stone house with private land, nestled within the green countryside between Piazze and Cetona, an area rich with vineyards, olive groves and rolling hillsides. The building is totally independent on three sides and the gross measurement is approximately 200 sq mts on two floors.
On one side of the property there is private land which measures approximately 3000 sq mts with a few olive trees. The position of the property means that it enjoys marvellous views over the vineyards of Chianti Colli Senesi where many different wine producing businesses are famous for the quality of their wines.
The portion of the house which is for sale, has been restored partly by the proprietor himself who has strived to conserve the character and re-use much of the original materials of the property, such as the ceilings with their wooden beams and terracotta panels in between and some of the original internal brick arches. Internally the property consists of: a living room with a double glass door to allow the maximum light into the room, another small sitting room where it would be possible to put a kitchen, a double bedroom, and a bathroom on the ground floor, while on the first floor which you access via an internal wooden staircase with metal handrails, or via an external orginal stone staircase which has been repaired with reclaimed stone, there is an entrance hall, a kitchen, a lovely terrace with a table and chairs where you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area and the warmer weather in the summer months, a double bedroom, a small pantry, a small sitting room (which could also be used as a second bedroom), a very large bathroom with a shower and a utility room.
The ground floor also includes a number of storage rooms, which house the boiler room, a garage and others which are used to store tools and other items.
Repair State
The building was completely restored in 2002 and 2003, which included the replacement of all the foundations, ceilings, roof and internal systems.
The ceilings are made of exposed wooden beams with terracotta panels in between, and the floors are paved with imitation terracotta tiles in light brown, the windows have been completely replaced and are made of wood and are of the highest quality.
Amenities
The property has all the necessary services such as water, electricity and telephone.
The heating system is independent and uses GPL.
