Akkaya (White Rock) is a very special place of extraordinary natural beauty near the town of Dalaman on the Turkish south-west coast. It offers the best of both worlds – peace and quiet of a tranquil location and proximity to many places of interest and historical importance.
Ruins of the ancient city of Kaunos, Lycian rock tombs near Dalyan and Sultaniye Thermal Spas are just a few of the exciting places to see. There are two excellent sandy beaches in the area: the protected Iztuzu Beach where Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs and the blue flag awarded Sarigerme Beach.
Being in the heart of so many tourist destinations (Dalyan, Gocek, Koycegiz, Sarigerme) Dalaman has a very good transport network offering fast and frequent services. Dalaman International Airport offers all-year-round flights to major UK cities making Dalaman a very accessible holiday destination.
The town itself has many shops, bars and restaurants open throughout the year where you can have a taste of the delicious Turkish dishes prepared from fresh local produce. Dalaman and the nearby Akkaya have been attracting property buyers from abroad for many years now. In fact, many of them liked it so much that they decided to stay.
