The Polaris World resort of Hacienda Riquelme opened in December 2007 for the first residents. The par 72 golf course opened in June 2008. Hacienda Riquelme is located near the town of Sucina and based just 15 minutes from the Polaris World resorts of El Valle and La Torre.

The city of Murcia is just 20 minutes from the resort. San Javier (Murcia) airport is 15 minutes drive and the new Corvera airport will be 20 minutes away.

The countryside available on the doorstep of Hacienda Riquelme offers fantastic views across the plain to the Mar Menor. The roads are safe to cycle, ideal for families and keen walkers could walk over the hills to Murcia city around 15km away.

In addition there is seperate sports area on the resort to house tennis courts and other sports facilities. There is a full driving range, putting green and pro shop.
