The vibrant city is just under 30 minutes car journey, and skiing at the Sierra Nevada resort is realistically just under one hour. Salobrea upon the Costa Tropical is one hour, Granada airport in the opposite direction a mere 20 minutes, and the Malaga coast, again one hour. The village has all the modern amenities necessary, such as schools, banks, small shops, larger supermarkets, a chemist and village doctor, as well as a rural tourist trade, pony trekking, walking cycling and many historic sites to visit.
