Akbuk is one of the rising stars of Turkey. Set among protected pine forests and olive trees, this spectacular “white” bay with its small marina, its many small bays and coves, beautiful unspoilt clean beaches is, as yet, untouched by mass tourism. The sea is a constantly changing colour from the most beautiful aqua for which Turkey is famous to a beautiful deep blue.
With an already excellent infrastructure of roads, a small harbour, ancient Greek church, restaurants on the promenade and a mini marina, its selection of 4 and 5 star hotels, Akbuk is a gem of a location still waiting to be fully discovered. The French discovered it many years ago and there has been a French Holiday Village in existence ever since.

Akbuk was, until a couple of years ago, a holiday resort for Turkish families from the cities. Many of the older holiday homes are now being sold and modernized, changing the face of Akbuk.

Main motorway to the Altinkum turnoff, turn left, follow signposts for Akbuk, drive through village - at end of village turn left and half a mile up the road is The Pines.

There are community centres nearby with basketball courts and football areas in the village and volleyball on the beach. Being at the foot of the mountains many people find walking/hiking to be excellent in this area. Cycling is perfect for the low laying areas of Akbuk where the roads are of a very good standard all along the bay.
