Nueil-Sous-Faye is a small, Pleasant agricultural village 6km southwest of Richilieu - D749s, turn right on D22 and first right on D47. The village is quiet and has a square where children can play safely, and its own church and shop\bar. It is wthin easy driving distance of a number of historic Loire Chateaux.

Richelieu - This walled market town ( a 5 minute Drive from Nueil sou faye) was founded by the famous cardinal and politician of the same name (1585 - 1642). Its construction commenced in 1631 and is a rare example of classical town planning. Richelie's statue stands at the southern end out side the walls of the park. The original chateau was destroyed in the 18th century, for the sale of building materials. Various outbuilding survive in the park inckuding a domed pavillion containing a museum. The grand rue in the town is lined with imposing houses including No17 Hotel du senechel. Next door at No15 is the cat museum.
